Berlin has many parks and other green spaces.

An open space off Reinhardtstraße. In the background is the famous Charité hospital. The classical buildings in the foreground are two renowned theatres -- the Kammerspiele and the Deutsches Theater.

In the gardens of Schloss Charlottenburg (Charlottenburg Palace)...

The Belvedere in the gardens of Charlottenburg Palace.

In Viktoriapark, Kreuzberg.

An autumn morning in Treptower Park.

Treptower Park by the River Spree. The church is the Old Church in Stralau, on the opposite bank. For once, a photograph doesn't show a building as being out of true -- it genuinely is! A large bomb exploded near it during World War II, and the tower has leaned at a slight angle ever since.

The Märchenbrunnen (Fairy Tale Fountain) at the entrance to Volkspark Friedrichshain. Unfortunately the fountains were not working!

A detail of the Märchenbrunnen!

The Weißensee, in the borough of that name (now a part of Pankow), in north-east Berlin.
